Homemade Freezer Garlic Bread
Buttery French bread with garlic, parsley, and olive oil bakes up crisp-edged from the freezer for an easy pasta-night side.

Ingredients
- 8 Tbsp salted butter, room temperature
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1 loaf French bread
Directions
- Put the butter, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, and parsley in a bowl. Stir and mash everything together until the mixture looks mostly smooth.
- Cut the French bread into 1-inch slices; depending on the loaf, you will have 12-16 slices. Dollop 1/2 to 1 Tbsp of the garlic spread onto each piece, then smooth it across the full surface. Set the slices on a baking sheet and tuck the pan into the freezer for about 30 minutes, just until the butter firms. Once the spread is set, move the garlic bread into a gallon-sized freezer bag and keep it frozen for up to 3 months.
- When you want to bake the frozen garlic bread, heat the oven to 400 degrees. Once it is hot, take out however many slices you want and set them on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown. If you want softer garlic bread without crisp edges, wrap the slices in foil before baking.
