Ingredients

2 large egg whites

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl, combine the chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and cream of tartar until combined. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the cocoa powder mixture to the egg whites while continuing to beat until combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chip mixture until just combined. Drop heaping tablespoons of batter onto the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart from each other. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned on top. Allow to cool completely before serving. Enjoy!.
