Ingredients

4 large apples, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup light brown sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup slivered almonds

1/4 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons caramel sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease an 8-inch square baking dish. Spread the caramel sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. In a medium bowl, mix together the white sugar, slivered almonds, rolled oats, melted butter, nutmeg, cinnamon, flour and light brown sugar until well blended. Arrange the apples over the caramel sauce in the baking dish. Sprinkle with the oat mixture and press down lightly. Bake for 40 minutes in preheated oven or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Enjoy!.
