Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 large shallots, finely chopped

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups beef broth

1/2 cup dry red wine

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

Array Melt butter over medium high heat in medium saucepan. When foaming subsides, add in shallots and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.
