Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups old fashioned oats

3/4 cup rye flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . In a medium bowl, mix together rye flour, oats, salt, cinnamon and baking soda. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown around the edges. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
