Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3/4 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
2 cups fresh blackberries
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish
For the crumb topping:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
Directions
Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray 13- by 9-inch cake pan with baking spray. Line pan with parchment paper or heavy-duty foil lengthwise with one sheet, then crosswise with a second sheet to create a sling; spray once again with baking spray.
