Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 large egg yolks
4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled slightly
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups popped popcorn, lightly salted
Directions
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring milk and cream to a bare simmer. Remove from heat, stir in popcorn, cover, and let steep for 1 hour.
