Ingredients
4 pounds bone-in beef short ribs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, diced
2 carrots, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
2 bay leaves
2 cups red wine
3 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Pour the red wine and port into a large saucepan and boil until it reduces by half.
