, Rice Vinegar, Sugar, Garlic, Red Chili Peppers In a small saucepan, combine 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and mix until smooth. Add 1/4 cup of rice vinegar, 1/4 cup of sugar, 2 cloves of minced garlic and 2-3 finely chopped red chili peppers to the saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat and stir constantly until it thickens and boils. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes or until the sauce has reached your desired consistency. Remove from heat and let cool before serving or storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
