In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder to the boiling water. Stir until dissolved.
Reduce heat to low and add 1 cup of dried chickpeas to the pot. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Turn off the heat and let the chickpeas soak in the turmeric-infused water for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Drain and rinse the chickpeas before using in your favorite recipes!.
