This might not be a secret to some of you, but I'm honestly obsessed with TJ Maxx this holiday season! You guys have probably already seen the amazing deals I've scored there on Sugarlaws (this Calvin Klein top was $49, these heels that I've worn to death were $39, and I was lucky enough to find them in grey too)!
With 10,000 new items arriving in each store every week, you don't have to worry that everything will be picked over by the end of the holiday season! Avoiding holiday crowds and scoring amazing deals on current-season clothes, accessories and gifts? Yes please.
But this time of year, I'm not thinking about shopping for myself -- I'm thinking about all the people on my Christmas lists! I've put together a few ideas for a few of my most important friends and family, and then I'm going to take you guys on a shopping trip through TJ Maxx and Marshalls to find the perfect gifts for each one (and maybe something for me along the way too)!
So here's what I'm thinking so far:
My Sister: Emily is almost the easiest person to shop for, because I generally just pick out something I'd love and give it to her! (Ok, sometimes I buy an extra one for myself and then we get to be twins when we wear them together)! She's really into jewelry, and I love the jeweled bracelets in the bottom left photo above for her! And at 60% off retail prices, I can get her a whole stack.
My Parents: This is always the toughest! My parents have great taste, which makes them tricky to shop for, but I'm always safe when I get them something beautiful for their home! I adore these copper pots for decoration and for cooking -- dishes like meringues come together so much better when you whip them in a copper pot, so these are functional and gorgeous!
Calvin and Coco: Obviously, my dogs need Christmas presents too! I usually buy them an extra special rawhide or treat for the holiday, but I think this season I've got to pick up a cute little puppy outfit! Here's hoping they don't chew it off too quickly!
Just-Engaged Couple: I love getting home decorations for people who've just gotten engaged or married, even if they already live together. There's something special about getting joint gifts for the home, but I always try to make sure anything I get has some personality too! I love this winged piggy bank from Marshalls (how amazing is that?!) or a beautiful crystal serving dish or vase as an extra-special holiday present.
Hostess Gifts: Holiday parties call for smaller gifts for the host or hostess, and I love to do something a little more fun than just bringing a bottle of wine. TJ Maxx and Marshalls have amazing selections of European chocolates, special spices and olive oils, and beautiful wrapping papers to make them extra-special! You'll definitely get invited back next year.
New Babies: I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like my friends went into baby mode this past year! I have so many newborns that I'm seeing over the holidays (can't wait) and I always like to bring along a little something! Both stores have an amazing selection of baby clothes and toys, at huge discounts!
And even more fun... I want to know who you're buying for this year! Leave a comment below, tweet to me, or leave a question on the Sugarlaws Facebook page with your gifting dilemmas, and I'll try my best to help out with some fun ideas!
