what a week

What a week! It's crazy to think that on Monday morning, we were in our apartment in the West Village, barely even starting to pack. Within 24 hours, all our worldly possessions (except the dogs) were on a truck heading to Texas, and we were in Houston, safe and sound!

Moving always has some hiccups, but ours has actually gone smoothly so far (knock on wood, since that truck with all of our furniture is still on the way)! We're slowly getting settled in our new apartment -- we're renting for nine months to give us a little time to find a permanent place! It's shockingly different from our Manhattan apartment -- brand new and spotless, with a wraparound balcony and a special spot where we can plug in our iPhones and play music throughout the living room!

And the best part is the beautiful new kitchen -- and the fact that we'll be across the street from Whole Foods! I can't wait for our pots and pans to arrive so I can get started putting it to good use.
