I'm feeling a little like an Olsen twin with my hair like this!

But I am so, SO psyched -- I had two major beauty goals after going blonde. First, I wanted to do beach waves. Something about being blonde just screams 'opportunity for beach waves,' right?!

Second, I wanted to do a black smokey eye with light hair. I love, love, love this look -- usually I'd go for a more subtle eye shade, but sometimes you just want some serious drama. So pair those two, and I'm basically living the beauty dream right now!

And I'm living the style dream too -- thanks SO much to J. Brand for these awesome shorts! I'm obsessed with colored denim this summer, and purple is my absolute favorite shade. They're the perfect length, and the perfect level of fray. Messy enough to be deliberate and cool at the same time!
