vacation day

Since I've spent most of the last few weeks totally grubby and doing things like hammering, painting, cutting down cardboard boxes, stuffing things in to trash bags, and constructing furniture for the last few weekends, I've been a little light on the subject material for outfit posts! Most of the time I just end up in jean shorts and soft cotton tee-shirts, which isn't exactly different from my usual weekend-wear (just without the makeup or any effort for my hair). So I figured when I had plans for a Sunday night dinner, I might as well squeeze in some photos!

And let me tell you -- this dress is going to be in my closet for lots of dinners and vacations to come. It's the perfect thing to slip on when you're exhausted, you want to be comfortable, and you want something dressy for a casual event -- just what I needed!
