the sophisticate

I'm often asked how I describe my style, and it's one of the toughest questions for me to answer. I kind of like a little of everything, but above all, I like feeling comfortable and confident in whatever I'm wearing.

So, while this outfit is basically the exact opposite of the one I posted on Friday, I think it's equally "my style" (whatever that is)! I love the minimalism and effortless chic of this look -- the combination of black and white and neutrals make me feel like I've just stepped out of a magazine ad!

I promised to tell you guys the story of this bag -- the crazy thing is, it's Spring 2012 Celine, and I bought it at T.J. Maxx for half price! Nieman Marcus has the exact same bag for full price -- without being crass and saying how much I paid, let's just say that the difference is astronomical. The one I found at T.J. Maxx had a faint water stain, but after a little research, I sent it in to Lovin My Bags to get it cleaned and protected. A few weeks later, the bag was in better condition than the brand new ones at stores! I'm still a little scared to carry it around -- light tan is a dangerous color -- but it just might be the most beautiful thing in my closet.

Last but not least, these are my first pair of white jeans! I wore them all weekend -- since Houston is going to be insanely hot all summer, I have to get my fill now!
