style: sugarlaws on elie tahari

I was in a taxi with three other girls when Elie Tahari sent me the final front page image for the guest post I did for them.

I didn't scream. But I came close. I was so excited for this awesome opportunity, but I was also a little nervous because I am not anything close to a model. Their lovely blog has so far featured mostly runway models and gorgeous celebrities, and now me? It was a little terrifying. Totally exciting, but still terrifying.

But oh my gosh. When I saw the final draft, it looked so gorgeous. Their clothes are so beautiful, I swear they somehow elevated me to model-level. I had so much fun getting to pick my favorite outfits in their showroom, shooting all the looks we'd chosen, and picking out the photos that best told the story that was Haloween-themed, but still timeless and elegant. The only tough part about the whole thing was giving the clothes back at the end of the day! (Although, they very kindly gave me a gift card and I'm definitely buying Katie Cassidy's sequin dress with it!)
