style: sugarlaws boutique

I'm so excited to introduce a new and incredibly fun section of Sugarlaws -- the boutique! Over the past few months, I've worked with several independent designers to introduce a boutique section of this website, featuring up-and-coming jewelry designers I absolutely love! Everything in the boutique is handmade, and several of the designers emphasize the use of vintage and recycled materials, so you can add to your closet in a more sustainable way.

So head over to the Sugarlaws Boutique, and take a look around! Shipping is free and many of the pages include outfits I've worn with the jewelry, so you can get a sense of at least one way to style them!

About the Designers:

Lagi Nadeau is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, who has formerly worked for Nicole Romano and Tahari. Her collection blends sophistication with a touch of edge, handmade by the designer with new and vintage materials.

Mala Handmade is a collection of modern Indian-inspired jewelry handcrafted with precious metals and fine semi-precious stones. All materials are made of the highest quality materials, including Swarovski crystals, 24 karat gold plate or gold vermeil (as noted) and sterling silver, sourced from a fair-trade supplier.

We Are Here is handmade by designer Emilie Shapiro, whose pieces reflect our place in the time-line of human civilization. She is a jewelry designer, metalsmith and alchemist who received her B.F.A. in Art + Design from Syracuse University and studied at Alchimia, a private school of contemporary jewelry design in Florence, Italy. Emilie uses metal as her main material to convey her ideas as wearable art. She believes that jewelry acts as relics; in hundreds of years they will be the objects telling our story, our proof of life. Letting someone, someday know that we are here.
