style: flash of color

This dress was one of the first style posts I put up on Sugarlaws, over a year ago now! After a streak of unbearable dreariness in New York for the past few weeks, I figured that it was time to add some serious color to my wardrobe.

I absolutely love this dress, and I've been searching for another excuse to wear it -- it's just a little bit to dressy for our regular nights out, and it's been a while since I've had a really perfect occasion for it. I'm also at the end of my rope trying to think of cute ideas for February Fashion Week outfits -- between the snow, the cold and the ever-present slush everywhere in NYC, I'm seriously lacking in cute ideas. This outfit would be perfect for a night show or an afterparty, but how do I get there?

I'm also going to experiment more with taking photos inside our apartment, just to spare myself from the brutal cold! Although, I should admit that this is Chad's dresser, not mine -- mine is covered in makeup, magazines, random books that I've read the first chapters of and meant to turn back to, and four different decorative baskets full of costume jewelry. It's not a pretty sight.
