A few more photos taken in the gorgeous, gorgeous Houston weather before I head off to freezing temperatures for NYFW! When Chad and I were thinking about potentially leaving New York, I was adamant that I could never live anywhere colder than Manhattan -- for a girl who grew up in New England, I have absolutely no tolerance for cold at all (in high school, I used to wear two pairs of pants just to walk around outside -- not exactly stylish, but I needed it for warmth)! So Texas has been an incredibly wonderful change on that front.
BUT. Let's all pay attention to the real star in this post: my hair extensions! I just got these last week and I'm totally obsessed. I've wanted to try them for such a long time (thank you, The Hills) but I never wanted to spend thousands of dollars (yikes) on the bonded kind. These, though! They're the clip in kind, and they were only $125 at Sally's and match my hair color perfectly (the same ones are on Amazon here)! You can see them with other looks on Instagram here, here and here -- I wore them nonstop this weekend! It's also amazing to be able to take these out during the week (when Barbie hair isn't exactly professional) and put them in for the weekends.
This dress is from David Peck's Spring collection -- I went into his showroom to pull some looks for the Cotton Runway show, and he so kindly let me borrow this one! It was my favorite piece that came down the runway during his Houston Fashion Week show, and this is actually the dress from the show! Don't worry, I took extra careful care of it. :-)
And last but not least, these shoes! I found them on sale after Christmas for $280, marked down from $800, and I completely couldn't resist. I don't know how no one else snapped them up, but it's my gain and their loss!
CrOp by David Peck dress (borrowed), Brian Atwood shoes, Celine bag, Henri Bendel pearl necklace, gifted By Boe gold necklace.
