Old Bay Chicken Wings
Crispy baked wings get a buttery lemon-Old Bay coating, a quick broil, and a punchy cocktail-sauce dip.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken wings, separated tips from drummettes
- 8 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 Tbsp Old Bay seasoning, plus more for dusting
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- Cocktail sauce for dipping
Directions
- Heat the oven to 425 degrees F. Set the wings out until they reach room temperature so the sauce coats them more easily, then blot them well dry.
- For the Old Bay sauce, warm the butter in a small pot until melted, then use a whisk to blend in the Old Bay with the lemon juice. Cool it until it feels lukewarm.
- Stir the sauce once more, then coat the chicken wings with half of it.
- Spread the wings in a single layer on a parchment paper-, aluminum foil-, or Silpat-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven, then switch the oven to broil. Position an oven rack about 6 inches below the broiler. Flip the wings on the baking sheet, slide them beneath the broiler, and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they have a good browned finish.
- To serve, coat the wings with the sauce you held back and transfer them to a plate. Finish with an extra dusting of Old Bay, and bring out your favorite cocktail sauce.
