Ingredients: 1 1/2 ounces Dry Sack Oloroso Sherry, such as Williams & Humbert Dry Sack 15 year; 3/4 ounce unsweetened 100% cranberry juice, such as Knudsen’s; 1/2 ounce gold rum, such as Phraya; 1/2 ounce simple syrup, see note; 2 dashes orange bitters; Orange peel for garnish

Cranberry juice gets a sophisticated touch with the help of sherry in this aperitif cocktail.

3/4 ounce unsweetened 100% cranberry juice, such as Knudsen’s
1/2 ounce gold rum, such as Phraya
1/2 ounce simple syrup, see note
2 dashes orange bitters
Orange peel for garnish

Directions

Combine sherry, cranberry juice, rum, simple syrup, and bitters in a cocktail shaker. Fill 2/3 full with ice and shake until well chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe. Garnish with orange peel.
