oscar party segment on WTNH!

There is something I've always suspected in my many, many years of watching morning news shows.
Shooting a television segment is actually a lot of fun.
It doesn't feel fun at first. Like any time I'm doing something this public, I was all nerves for about 24 straight hours beforehand. I do plenty of video for Sugarlaws, but that's video that I edit myself, and if it doesn't turn out well, I just don't post it -- sorry guys, but you'll never see my avocado ice cream video, because, it turns out avocado ice cream is un-salvageably gross.
But this was in a real television studio with cameras and lights and a host who does this every day -- I had no choice but to cross my fingers, take a deep breath, and hope for the best.
And you know what really helps? You guys. So many of you sent me such sweet messages and were so encouraging that I couldn't help but feel reassured. And once I got over my nerves, I could actually focus on having fun! So thank you, thank you, thank you. Because really, how can you spend six minutes talking about food and fashion without having fun?
A few things I didn't have time to cover, because six minutes goes by really quickly! The black dress is by Elie Tahari (and it's even on sale at Saks)! It has this amazing subtle shimmer, and I love that it combines lace and sparkle in a really understated, elegant way. And the red shoes are from Forever 21, and they're under $25!
Last but not least, Oscar season isn't over yet! I'm working on an amazing project with COVERGIRL -- so check back next week for more details!
