new york fashion week: day three (video diary)

I did a little something different today -- instead of doing still photos all day, I brought my video camera!
I figure the idea is for you guys to get a sense of what it's really like to be at the tents, and what better way to do that than to see everything as it happens? (But let me know what you like better, and I'm happy to adapt on future days!) The video is in HD, so you'll be able to see the details better if you watch it full-screen.
My highlight of the day was definitely Jill Stuart, which is one of my favorites every year. I love spring clothes -- especially since I'm about to launch into three more months of summer weather in Texas -- and her pinks, yellows and blues were so fun and fresh. And it was so cute to see Emma Roberts in the front row taking cell phone pics with her friends -- kind of the same way the rest of us do when we're psyched to be at a fashion show. :-)
It was a really full day, most of which I captured in here: Farah Angsana's gorgeous and ethereal eveningwear, Pink Tartan's modern classic pieces, and a stop in to the John Barrett braid bar at the It Gets Better beauty lounge. I love the whole It Gets Better campaign -- and I think it's a great message for anyone and everyone struggling through those tough teenage years (mine were, and I wish I'd known for sure then how great it would be to finally grow up)!
I have another awesome day planned for tomorrow -- backstage at Derek Lam thanks to Estee Lauder, and a bunch of other shows that I'm really looking forward to! It's almost midnight and I've got to get some rest, so I'll see you guys in the morning!
PS -- Here's a quick Instagram shot of my outfit today! I'm obsessed with this Theyskens' Theory dress and wedges (six-inch-tall wedges... which I accidentally wore for seven hours straight, so my feet are killing me now!), borrowed Ippolita bangles, and, of course, my Chanel bag. I'd be lying if I wasn't imagining carrying it at NYFW when I bought it, and today was no disappointment. Now if only it could fit a pair of flats (although, I don't think I'd want to put anything that's touched a NYC sidewalk into this bag)!
