new york fashion week: day one

I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't thinking about Fashion Week when I bought this cape. When it's this cold out (25 degrees in NYC right now!), Fashion Week quickly devolves into a battle of "Who Has The Cutest Coat?"

And, well, I do. This Zara cape is an easy statement piece that feels really unique in a sea of black peacoats and trenches. I had nearly a dozen photographers take my picture on the way into, inside and out of the tents today, including one from Elle Japan! But, of course, I'm the dope who didn't bring any business cards to Fashion Week, so hopefully they all got my name and blog right!
