new york fashion week: day four

HumpDay of Fashion Week!

This was the morning I've been looking forward to all week -- I was invited by Estée Lauder to come backstage at Derek Lam, one of the coolest shows of the whole week, to see them create natural, glowing looks for the models in this show. I loved seeing them use the Estée Lauder night (Advanced Night Repair)) and day (Idealist) creams that I love to use everyday, incorporated into the runway looks.   I hope the pictures capture it, because their skin was absolutely flawless. Hardly a day goes by without me using an Estée Lauder makeup product, and I loved the glossy lips, soft blush and neutral eyes -- so natural and gorgeous!

And then, as you guys know by now, I got to sit across from Anna Wintour at the show! I love a celeb-packed front row, but there's nothing like seeing Anna to make you feel like you're in the coolest place in the tents (I just missed her at Pamela Love last year and was so bummed out)! And the show itself was so gorgeous -- each piece was just flawless, perfectly cut and full of effortless movement.

I also snapped this picture (above) with Kim, Dylana and Laura outside the tents! I've said it before, but my favorite thing this week is running into friends going to and from the various shows, which often turn into impromptu lunches, coffees, or just sitting around talking. I'll miss my girls so much when I leave NYC!

Other highlights of the day: Lela Rose's chic prints and breezy tailored dresses, over the top jewelry and punk rock separates at LAMB, and the bold colors, fabrics and shapes at Katya Leonovich!
