By now, you guys are probably well aware that I LOVE minidresses, like, with a vengeance. Blame it on being short to begin with, but I've basically never met a mini I didn't get along with. In fact, it may have happened once or twice that I've walked out of a dressing room in what I thought was a minidress... only to be told that it's actually a top.

But a mini can be a delicate balance, when you want to look cool and cute, but still want to keep your look elegant and sophisticated. More 60's-inspired Twiggy, less Real Housewives (putting it delicately). I try to keep my miniskirts paired with long-sleeved or oversized tops to tone down the drama, and I love it when a minidress is form-fitted without being skintight, and a cap sleeve is the perfect way to keep your dress youthful and fun, but still totally tasteful.

Maybe it's because Mad Men is almost back (I can't wait!), but I've totally been gravitating towards mod-inspired pieces. You'll see a bunch more next week!
