I took these photos a few weeks ago, and I can't believe that it's already too hot for this outfit in Houston! I'm hoping it will cool down a little before the long, brutal summer hits, but I've definitely learned that a Texas summer can be unpredictable, and above all else -- never expect it to be anything but HOT. At the very least, I'm excited to finally go in our pool!

It's a bummer because this outfit is full of my favorite pieces! This blazer is from Zara last spring, and I've probably worn it 100 times in the last year -- it's at least a once-a-week staple for work! I love putting it over a black dress for a pop of color that's still office-appropriate.

And I have to tell you guys about this necklace! It's from the gorgeous designer Lagi Nadeau -- I've known Lagi since I lived in NY, and I've loved following her career! She now has her own ready to wear line, and one of her pieces was in the looks that I styled for the Cotton 24 Hour Runway Show -- it was totally gorgeous and a perfect fit for the show! One of my favorite things about blogging is getting to know up and coming designers and helping to spread the word -- you guys should definitely check her out!
