just the basics

People keep asking me if I think my style is going to change, now that I'm living in Texas. And the fact is, I'm not exactly sure how to answer -- I'll say for sure that the typical style here is different than it was in New York, but will my style change because I live here? Honestly, there's enough variety here that I can't imagine ever feeling pressure to change.

And the fact is, there are a lot of simple things about clothing that stay true no matter where you're living -- a little bit of glam and some chic basics, and you have an outfit perfect for any city or any occasion. The best wardrobe pieces are the staples that you pair with everything in your closet and this outfit is basically full of them.

I've got a big weekend coming up (more on that soon), and then Chad and I are headed to the Bahamas for a week! After Fashion Week and a cross-country move, I'm so excited to just chill out on the beach, read, eat and generally relax. We haven't been on a real beach vacation since our honeymoon two years ago -- LONG overdue!
