What a weekend.

So, on Saturday afternoon, after a few weeks of being touch-and-go, my laptop finally conked out. I've had this happen to a few computers over the years, and there is no worse feeling than being suddenly without that piece of technology that runs your whole life. Between that laptop and my iPhone, I'm completely lost without them.

The good news is, I'd been having enough trouble with the computer over the past few weeks that I realized how important it was to back up everything -- so, amazingly enough, I didn't lose a single picture. I'm a little stressed about the whole thing, but it could have been so much worse. The computer is out of warranty and getting it fixed would have been a very expensive pain in the butt, so I've decided to take the plunge and order a new one.

SO. Onto happier news -- this Kate Spade dress! I love that it's a little bit vintage-y, and that it's different from what I usually go for. I'm always looking for outfits that can make that (tricky) transition from work to a after-work fashion event, and this dress absolutely does the trick.

And is it just me, or could you guys totally see this on one of the Mad Men characters? Maybe without the red patent platform heels. :-)
