florals with attitude

I love the idea of "moody florals" as a trend -- think those black, maroon and green floral dresses you've seen, but when I'm shopping, I still always gravitate towards the bold, bright shades. It's funny to think that only a few years ago, jeans were blue and maybe black, and nothing else. It's even crazier to think that a few years before that, jeans so unflattering that we now refer to them as "mom jeans," which my mother wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.
But jeans have come a long way from humble origins, and this pair is my new favorite! Bold splashes of color, a completely unique print, and flattering to boot? Love.
You guys probably remember almost this same outfit, which I styled for the cold for NYFW here -- but I wanted you to see how I'd wear it for Spring as well! Replace the leather jacket with a tank, lose the hat, and strap on some platform sandals, and you're totally prepared for those up-and-down spring temperatures.
