all natural

Maybe it's to be expected, but lately, I've found myself gravitating towards much more natural, no-makeup type looks. I'm not saying no makeup at all (let's be serious), but the type of look where you aren't quite sure if there's makeup involved, or if the person is just genetically blessed.
Because the best compliment isn't when someone tells you that you have on great makeup, it's when someone tells you that you're glowing, or that you just look great.
So when Simple Skincare asked me to create a look that goes along with their core philosophy -- no dyes, no artificial fragrances, no harsh irritants for your skin -- I was happy to get to work!
So here's what I used in this look:
Simple Skincare Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel: This is my favorite of the cleansers so far, although some of you in harsher climates might prefer the Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash! I love that it leaves my skin cleansed, revived and ready for makeup, and that it really perks me up in the morning when I'm getting ready. A+.
Cle de Peau Fluid Foundation: I've been using this for a while now, and it's the lightest-feeling foundation I've found that still gives you good coverage. It's expensive, though, so to make it last longer, I like to combine it with...
Simple Skincare Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer: Mixing foundation and moisturizer or concealer and moisturizer can give you a lighter, more natural effect, and it's great for your skin at the same time. And hey, anything that saves me a step in my morning makeup routine is terrific in my book. (I switch off to the Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream at night!)
Estée Lauder Pure Color Blush in Peach Passion: I've worn this every day since I got it. This collection doesn't launch until May (sorry guys!) but you guys are going to die when it does. My old favorite blush was Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, but I finally hit the bottom of the compact back in December, and I hadn't found anything else that I liked nearly as much... until this one came along.
L'Oreal Voluminous Lashes Mascara: I bought this on a whim in the drugstore the other day, because the brush looked a lot like the brush for my beloved DIORSHOW, and CVS was offering $5 off a $15 purchase. The picture above is actually the first time I used it! I'm actually fairly impressed so far -- for $9.99 (vs. $24 for DIORSHOW, which has to be replaced every 60 days or so), I'll probably buy this again. I like how thick and dark my lashes look -- even in a natural-makeup look, great lashes are still key.
And to take it all off at the end of the day, the Simple Skincare Eye Make-up Remover is the gentlest one I've ever tried. LOVE it.
