a little parisian chic

It's no secret that I love all things Parisian. I studied in Paris for two summers when I was in school, Chad and I got engaged underneath the Eiffel Tower, and don't even get me started on the food, the wine, and the clothes. In fact, the thing I love most about living in the West Village is that it's the closest neighborhood I've found to Paris anywhere outside of France. We shop at separate stores for bread, fish, cheese (all the good stuff), walk everywhere, and everyone is always dressed fantastically. Does it get much better than that?
So a few weeks ago, when Nine West invited a few bloggers to breakfast the day that Sophie Theallet's collection hit stores, I RSVPed yes in about a heartbeat. We nibbled on chocolate croissants and I got to meet Sophie herself, who is so lovely and told me that the must-have item in her closet are wedges (I agree).
I've been so impressed with Nine West shoes lately -- maybe I just got sick of paying hundreds of dollars for shoes that would get destroyed on the NYC sidewalks, but for price, comfort and style, they seriously can't be beat.
I'm told that the collection has nearly sold out, and I'm not surprised at all. These shoes are Sophie's timeless, detailed style on a Nine West budget (under $100, which, for shoes this cute, is INSANE). They might be as close as I get to Paris this year, so I'll wear them proudly on this side of the pond this summer.
Rebecca Taylor dress (last seen here), gifted Sophie Theallet for Nine West heels, gifted R&EM clutch, Ann Taylor bracelet, gifted Foster Grant sunglasses.
