a dress that turns into shorts on the bottom

When we were at the rodeo a few weeks ago, Chad and I were walking around with a group of friends when we passed a girl wearing a romper. One of our guy friends turned to us, ready to poke fun at Rodeo fashion, and goes, "that girl was a dress that turned into shorts on the bottom!"
Kind of a genius way to describe rompers, if you ask me! It was tough to break it to him that rompers are actually a pretty cool thing to wear these days, both at the Houston Rodeo and on the streets of Manhattan. I ordered this one on a whim from Forever 21, and I was shocked at how much I liked it once it got here. Definitely doesn't feel like something that cost $19!
The necklace was another great find -- it's a Kate Spade necklace that I found at T.J. Maxx for $99. I shudder to think how much this was full price, but I love it.
And the bag -- well, if you've seen me in person over the past six months, there's about an 80% chance that I was carrying this bag. It's the perfect size, the perfect relaxed, slouchy style, and the perfect neutral color -- in fact, just in my sidebar, I can already find it in this post and this one (and that's just from the last few weeks)!
On another note -- this is exactly what my hair does if I let it air dry and don't flatiron it. When I was studying for the bar in February, I basically never had time to do my hair, but I got to the point where I kind of liked the wavy, natural look (I used a little Kerastase smoothing serum just to combat the frizz). I think I might give my flatiron a rest for a while!
Forever 21 romper, ASOS belt, Kate Spade necklace (via T.J. Maxx), gifted Rebecca Minkoff MAB bag, Theyskens Theory wedges (from September), gifted Chanel sunglasses.
