Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and diced
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes or shredded
For the Glaze:
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions
Combine ketchup, tomato paste, water, brown sugar, cider vinegar, and chili powder in a small saucepan. Season with salt and pepper, whisk again and set aside.
